It all started when…
When I lived in Toronto, I noticed the rise in homelessness and people collecting empties from local recycling bins. I thought, instead of putting cans in the bins why not set them aside for quick access and simple support. That is when The Reclaim & Rise Program was created. By witnessing their experiences and being grateful that it wasn’t me and knowing it could be. The money collected from the empties I collect is used to hopefully help make their lives a little bit better. Let’s use their fundamentals to help all of us!
In the past the money collected has gone towards senior care and planting trees with the support, & love from the community this is what makes this mission possible. In the last year, the support of this money has shifted. Shifted to a a family of four, who use to be a family of five…
On March 21, 2025, a man’s life was taken from his wife and 3 children - the senseless shooting caused their world to turn upside-down. Together, as a community, let’s put our empties together to support our neighbours, friends, & families!
